印度血清研究所

印度血清研究所（英语：Serum Institute of India）是印度制药企业，生产研发包括疫苗在内的与免疫学相关的药物[3][4]。印度血清研究所于1966年创立[5]，目前是世界最大的疫苗生产商[6][7]。该公司每年生产约13亿剂疫苗[8] [9] [10]。

印度血清研究所曾于2009年研发猪流感疫苗[11][12]。2016年，在麻州大学医学院（英语：University_of_Massachusetts_Medical_School）等的支持下，印度血清研究所研发了一种抗狂犬病药物[13][14]。

COVID-19疫苗 编辑

2020年，印度血清研究所与英国-瑞典公司阿斯利康制药合作，后者与牛津大学合作研发出AZD1222疫苗[15]，印度血清研究所获得该疫苗的授权生产，并使用于印度及投放于世卫的全球疫苗分配计划（COVAX）。据报导，血清研究所将在印度和其他国家提供1亿剂疫苗[16][17][18]。

2020年3月，印度血清研究所亦获美国诺瓦瓦克斯医药授权，向发展中国家供应当时仍在研发的NVX-CoV2373疫苗[19]。

截至2021年3月，印度已经对76个国家发送超过6000万剂疫苗[20]，印度血清研究所承担向全球提供阿斯利康疫苗的重任，并且是COVAX疫苗分配机制最重要的供应者[21]。

2021年4月开始，因印度国内陷入第二波爆发，政府下令禁止疫苗出口，包括印度血清研究所。[22]

2021年1月21日下午，印度血清研究所一座在建建筑发生火灾，造成5人死亡[23]。
