具质量粒子(massive particle)是指其静止质量为非零实数粒子。依照狭义相对论,这些粒子的速度都会比光速要慢[1],像质子中子电子都是具质量粒子。基本粒子中的夸克都是具质量粒子,玻色子中的W玻色子Z玻色子希格斯玻色子也是具质量粒子。

同义词慢子(bradyon,源自希腊语βραδύς,或称为tardyon[2] 或ittyon[3])。

有时会用具质量粒子来和无质量粒子(其速度为光速)及假想的快子(其速度为超光速)对比。
