哈罗德·希尔曼
哈罗德·希尔曼（英语：Harold Hillman，1930年8月16日—2016年8月5日）是一名英国科学家和死刑执行方法神经生物学专家。他出生于伦敦[1][2]。

希尔曼坚持认为，在电子显微镜下看到的细胞结构不过是伪影，这在生物领域引起了争议。他坚持认为，多达90%的大脑是由“一种几乎是液体的细颗粒物质”组成的，而且大脑只有两种细胞类型，而不是四种[3]。
主流科学家认为，由于固定技术已与其他分析技术进行了比较，因此无法解释为什么所有不同的技术都会产生相同的假象[2]。
希尔曼的主要研究领域是神经生物学和复苏学，他在这方面的工作基本没有争议。

希尔曼于1965年至1989年担任萨里大学生理学教授，1989年因受到失去终身教职的威胁而提前退休。他在1996年写道：“我相信，我是英国唯一一位因为自己的科学观点而失去终身教职的学者。”[5]
1997年，他因其报告“不同方法执行死刑时可能经历的痛苦”而荣获搞笑诺贝尔奖的和平奖[6]。
2016年8月5日，希尔曼因心脏衰竭安详去世，享寿85岁[7]。

希尔曼的父亲大卫·希尔曼（David Hillman）是著名的彩色玻璃生产商，什穆尔·伊查克·希尔曼的儿子[8]。他的兄弟是艾利斯·希尔曼和梅尔·希尔曼。他是现任以色列总统艾萨克·赫尔佐格的堂兄弟[9]。
