国际光之年
2015国际光之年（International Year of Light and Light-based Technologies, 2015，简称IYL 2015）是联合国主办的活动，联合国教科文组织将2015年定为“国际光之年”[1]，目的在提升大众对光学科学、其应用，以及对人类重要性的认识。2015国际光之年的开幕式在2015年1月19-20日于巴黎举行。

国际光之年是“联合国为了让大家知道光学技术促进可持续发展，以及在能源、教育、农业、通讯及健康上的挑战提供方案而提出的全球性倡议。”。
来自加纳及墨西哥的联合国教科文组织代表向执行委员会简犮此提议，说明国际光之年的动机及使命，最后28个联合国教科文组织执委会成员共同签署，通过此一提议[2]。2015国际光之年的提议由加纳、墨西哥及俄罗斯（执委会成员）及新西兰（联合国教科文组织成员）在2012年10月13至18日在巴黎举行的190次会议中提出[3][4]。

海什木相关活动 编辑
国际光之年在2015年的1月19日在联合国教科文组织的总部巴黎开始[6]，同时也是《1001 Inventions and the World of Ibn Al-Haytham》影片的首映，其中有提到10世纪阿拉伯学者海什木在光学、数学及天文学上的贡献，以及其在现代科学方法奠基上的贡献，利用动态展示、工作坊等方式展示，是由《改变世界的1001项发明》机构所提出[7]。
