大历史

大历史（Big History）是一个新兴学术领域，探索从宇宙大爆炸到现代的历史。它通过包括科学、人文等多种学科的跨学科方法来检视长远的时间框架，[1][2][3][4][5] 并在更大的背景之下探讨人类存在的意义。[6] 它整合宇宙、地球、生命和人类的研究，使用经验，证据来探索因果关系，[7][8] 它被讲授于大学[9] 和中学[10] 经常使用基于网路的互动式专题来介绍。[10] 此运动涉及澳大利亚麦考瑞大学之历史学家大卫·克利斯汀（英语：David Christian (historian)），他创造了“大的历史”这个词，[7][9][11] 并且是由一个“学者的不寻常联盟”所成就。[2]
