近距离空中支援

近距离空中支援（英文：Close Air Support，简称CAS）是一种由定翼机或旋翼机所进行的空中行动，属于近距离支援的一种，对抗接近友方地面或海面部队的敌对目标。行动需要仔细整合各个部队的火力及移动。虽称“近距离”，但进行支援的空中部队可能与地面部队保持一段长距离。[1]

伊拉克战争中，AH-64阿帕奇为巡逻位于巴格达东南的底格里斯河的美国陆军士兵提供密接空中支援。
2015年3月12日，美军第173空降旅503步兵团第二营B连的伞兵在斯洛文尼亚波斯托克纳的波切克山脉进行近距离空中支援训练时，所观测到的美国空军F-16战隼战斗机。

近距离空中支援需要与地面部队有精确的协调，而在先进的现代化军队中则有特别人员负责，如联合炮火观测员（Joint Fires Observers）、前进空中管制员（Forward Air Controllers）——已于2003年改称联合终端攻击管制员（Joint Terminal Attack Controllers）。
