坤神星

坤神星（106 Dione）是一颗巨大的主带小行星，是J.C.沃森在1868年10月10日发现的[6]，并且依据希腊神话泰坦族的坤神命名为坤神星；但有时也会被当成希腊神话爱与美的女神阿芙罗狄蒂。它的成分可能类似于谷神星，被归类为与木星轨道有2:1共振的海丘巴群小行星[7]。

在1983年1月19日，在荷兰、丹麦和德国观测到坤神星掩蔽了一颗暗星，推断出他的直径是147 ± 3公里[8]，与IRAS获得的值相吻合[来源请求]。此外，质量为3.3×1018千克，公转周期为2059.923天。
IRAS进行的测量，坤神星的直径是169.92 ± 7.86公里，并且几何反照率是0.07 ± 0.01。相较)之下，史匹哲太空望远镜的MIPS光度计测量所得的直径是168.72 ± 8.89，几何反照率是0.07 ± 0.01。掩星观测时的结果显示直径是176.7 ± 0.4公里[9]。
在2004-2005年间，光度计的观测显示坤神星自转周期是16.26 ± 0.02小时，光度则有0.08 ± 0.02星等的变化[4]。
