怪兽宇宙（英语：MonsterVerse）[1]是一个美国跨媒体制作与虚构世界，主要以哥斯拉与金刚为主轴的怪兽电影系列。电影的发行商为华纳兄弟，而制片商则是传奇影业和东宝（《哥斯拉》系列）。

2017年10月，史蒂芬·S·迪奈特（《环太平洋2：雷霆再起》的导演和编剧）提到，关于怪兽宇宙和《环太平洋》系列之间的跨界合作已经进行了讨论，但他强调这只是理论上的可能性[29]。吉列尔莫·德尔托罗（《环太平洋》的导演和编剧）也表达了对于该片与怪兽宇宙跨界合作的兴趣[30]。

2021年1月，宣布了一部名为《骷髅岛》，受日本动画影响的动画系列。该系列以一群年轻漂流者的冒险为中心，讲述他们试图逃离栖息著各种史前怪兽的骷髅岛。该项目由布莱恩·达菲尔德编写，他也担任该作品的联合执行制片人，雅各布·罗宾逊则是联合执行制片人。《骷髅岛》则由传奇电视、拖拉机裤制作、强大动画工作室（英语：Powerhouse Animation Studios）和Netflix动画（英语：Netflix Animation）合资制作[39]。2023年5月，传奇宣布该系列将于2023年6月22日在Netflix上发布，并释出了预告片、海报和配音阵容[40]。
