托馬斯·肯尼利

托馬斯·肯尼利（1935年10月7日—），或汤姆·肯尼利，是一位澳洲小说家。

1964年，未出版小说前，他用了笔名“迈克”（Mick） 。1964年后，出版商建议他用真名托馬斯出版，他亦接受了。[1]他最著名的书籍应算1982年出版的《辛德勒方舟》(后又再版，称辛德勒的名单)。他凭此书获得了布克奖，后来此书又被改编成《辛德勒的名单》。他大部分作品都是建基于历史史实，然后再编上现代的心理和风格。

他在新南威尔士州霍姆布什出生，又在斯特拉斯菲德的圣帕特里克书院受教育，他获奖后，学校改以他名字命名。后来，他进入了修道院，成为天主教的神父，不过未完成课程便离开了。他在得奖前，曾在悉尼当过教师。1968年－1970年，他是澳洲新英格兰大学的讲师。他也有编写剧本，回忆录和非小说类书本。

肯尼利亦有不少的电影演出经验。他在他编写的《詹米·布莱克斯密夫》的呼喊声中（The Chant of Jimmy Blacksmith）有少量演出。他也在弗里德‧施批希（Fred Schepisi）中的"那恶魔的游乐场"饰演马沙尔神父。1983年他被授AO勋位。他是澳洲卓越人士[2]（Australian Living Treasure）之一。

他是澳洲共和主义的大力倡导者，即断绝与英国君主立宪制的关系，又在1993年出版了《我们的共和》一书。
