拟步行虫科
鞘翅目昆虫的一科
拟步行虫科（学名：Tenebrionidae），又称拟步甲科，为鞘翅目拟步总科下的一科。它是鞘翅目下的一个大科，下含超过20,000个物种，分布于全世界。

语源 编辑
本科的学名的意思是“似Tenebrio的”，而Tenebrio则是卡尔·林奈在第10版《自然系统》中给出的一个甲虫属名[3]，意思是“寻找黑暗之处者”[4] (or figuratively a trickster); an English language analogy is "darkling".[5]
有不少本科物种确实栖息于黑暗之处，但也有不少的属的成员（例如：Stenocara及 Onymacris）是日间活跃但晚上不活跃的。

本科成员的形态涵盖一个很广阔的范围，使它们的分类不容易。2021年，Bouchard及Bousquet等人依从2005年的旧有分类，重新把本科成员再细分为11个亚科[6][7]：
