汉普郡学院
汉普郡学院（Hampshire College）是一间位于美国马萨诸塞州阿默斯特的私立文理学院。它是五学院联盟成员。

历史 编辑
汉普郡学院的理念是1958年阿默斯特学院，曼荷莲学院、马萨诸塞大学阿默斯特分校及史密斯学院校长提出的，当时的目的是提供一个研究文理学院今后如何发展的试验田。1965年马萨诸塞大学阿默斯特分校校友哈罗德·F·约翰逊捐出600万美元用作汉普郡学院的建立资金，1970年第一批新生入学。
但实际该学院的资金来源一直都很匮乏，几乎只靠学费来维持运转。[3] 21世纪初由于得到几任校长的捐助，情况稍有改观。
2004年4月1日，校长乔治·普林斯（Gregory Prince）卸任，当月5日，前加州大学伯克利分校文理学院院长拉尔夫·赫克斯特（Ralph Hexter）就任，使得汉普郡学院成为美国少数的拥有出柜同性恋校长的高等教育机构。[4]
