獴总科
獴总科（学名：Herpestoidea）为猫型亚目灵猫下目下的一个总科，底下包含了獴科[2]、食蚁狸科[3]和鬣狗科。

除了鬣狗科以外的獴总科物种大多具有较长、呈圆柱状的身体，让它们得以钻入洞穴中捕捉猎物[2]。除此之外，部分獴总科物种具有捕捉体型比它们大猎物的能力[4]。
