环球影城迪拜乐园
环球影城迪拜乐园（Universal Studios Dubailand）是一座规划兴建中的环球影城主题乐园，地点位于阿拉伯联合酋长国迪拜。影城预定将与建设中的复合娱乐设施迪拜乐园（Dubailand）结合。[3]2016年10月27日，宣布乐园建设计划正式取消[4]。

开发规划 编辑
环球影城迪拜乐园是一个预算超过80亿迪尔汗的计划，由环球影业和迪拜控股（Dubai Holding）的子公司Tatweer合资开发。乐园的兴建计划在2007年4月30日宣布，当时原本预定在2010年完工，并预期每年能吸引500万名游客造访。
乐园在2008年7月27日正式动土开工，[5]但由于当时正逢世界金融危机，开发者宣布了建设计划将会延迟，并将开幕日期后推至2012年第一季。[6][7]但是自2009年起，环球影城迪拜乐园再也没有后续的建造进度。截至2012年中为止，整个基地上只有一个装有环球影城标志的大门。
之后随着Tatweer公司在2010年中解散，这项合资计划的前景也开始变得不明，大多数Tatweer的资产被合并到了TECOM和其他迪拜控股旗下的公司。
2011年4月，环球影业和迪拜官方开始商谈乐园的工程计划。但截至2012年底为止，乐园的基地依旧没有任何工程进度。[3]
在2012年11月下旬，迪拜酋长穆罕默德·本·拉希德·阿勒马克图姆宣布，迪拜官方将预计投资兴建多项位于郊区沙漠的开发计划，包括一座世界购物中心（Mall of the World，预计成为全世界最大的购物中心），和一间以环球影城为品牌的“家庭娱乐中心”[3][8]

In the desert outside the city stands the shell of the last large-scale leisure development – a 107-square-mile entertainment complex called Dubailand which was meant to house the world's largest array of theme parks. The signs for what would have been Universal Studios are whipped by the sand, and its gate leads nowhere.
