历史
编辑2012 年 10 月 6 日，时任教会会长多马·孟荪在教会的总会大会的演讲中宣布建造圣殿的构想。 [2]同时，在此次会上也同时宣布建造亚利桑那州图森圣殿的计划。 [1]新建两圣殿的计划完成之后，全球圣殿总数将增至168座，而秘鲁将增至3座。 [3]
2017年3月4日，在嘉禄·格朵意（Carlos A. Godoy）长老主持下举行标志动工的奠基仪式。 [4] 2019年5月21日，教会宣布举行公众开放日，随后将其定于11月15日至30日（星期日除外）。 [5] 这座圣殿于2019年12月15日由尤理西斯·苏瑞长老奉献。 [6]
2020年，阿雷基帕圣殿因2019冠状病毒病疫情而暂时关闭。[7]
