半翅目的一科昆虫
稻虱科（学名：Delphacidae），又名飞虱科，为半翅目颈喙亚目蜡蝉总科之下的一个科，包括有约2000个物种，分布在全世界。本科物种与其他 Delphacids are separated from other "hoppers" by the prominent spur on the 后腿的tibia

食性与虫害 编辑
本科所有物种皆为植食性动物，不少以多个禾本科物种为食。当中部分物种为影响较大的害虫，还是多种谷物疾病病原体的重要宿主[1]，例如：
- The rice brown planthopper, Nilaparvata lugens (Stål)
- The white-backed planthopper (rice), Sogatella furcifera (Horváth, 1899)
- The sugarcane planthopper, Perkinsiella saccharicida Kirkaldy, 1903
