红衫 (制服)
红衫（英语：red coat 或 redcoat），也称猩红衫（英语：scarlet tunic）是英国的一种军事服装。从17世纪到20世纪20年代，红衫被大批英军、皇家海军陆战队和大英帝国内部的一些殖民单位广泛使用[1]。猩红色的束腰外衣一直沿用到21世纪，英联邦的许多军队都将其用作礼服和正装。 “红衫”（redcoat）一词作为对英国军队的蔑称可能起源于16世纪都铎王朝统治下的爱尔兰，当时爱尔兰总督所辖的英军士兵都穿着红色大衣，这是英国士兵第一次集体穿着红色制服。此词随后被爱尔兰移民带到了美国和欧洲[2][3][4]。
从17世纪中叶到19世纪，大多数英国士兵（除了炮兵，步枪兵和轻骑兵以外）都穿有红色的外套或大衣。从1873年起，所有级别的士兵都采用了更加鲜艳的猩红色，而这以前只有某些军官被允许穿着[5]。
