美国陆军总军士长

美国陆军总军士长（英语：Sergeant Major of the Army，简称SMA）是美国陆军中一个独特的士官阶级。依照惯例，总军士长在正式礼节上与大部分的陆军中将相当。[1]具体的职责因陆军参谋长而异，但总军士长大部分时间都用于为陆军士兵争取权利，例如观察士兵训练以及与军眷交流。

这是参考美国海军陆战队总军士长设立的军衔与职位，美国陆军在1966年从4700名候选人中选出21名候选人。最后是隶属第1步兵师的William O. Wooldridge（英语：William O. Wooldridge）为首任陆军总军士长。[2]
