志业

志业（英语：vocation；源自拉丁语：vocātiō，本义为传唤[1]），一般译为呼召或圣召。是某个人为了某种理想或兴趣而献身的工作或职业，为了从事这个工作，需要有特定的资格或是受到特殊的训练。这个概念起源于基督宗教，但在现代通常使用于非宗教的场合。

在16世纪以前，这个名词使用在基督宗教中，意指某个人接受上主的命令，从事的特定行为[2]。在天主教会中，这也被用来指某个人决定宣誓成为修道人或神职人员。宗教改革以后，也用于平信徒选择的生活，如家庭或婚姻。
