荷兰人口稠密且经济发达,也拥有很高水准的交通设施。根据2014-2015年世界经济论坛发布的世界竞争力报告,荷兰在交通方面是世界竞争力第四高的国家[1]。荷兰的公路总长度达139,000 km,其中3,530 km是高速公路[2]。荷兰拥有世界上最密集的公路网,超过德国和法国,但不及比利时[3]。荷兰也拥有发达的铁路网。鹿特丹港是欧洲最大的港口[4]。此外由于荷兰地形平坦,单车在荷兰十分普及,是荷兰人重要的移动方式之一。

自行车 编辑

骑自行车是荷兰常见的交通方式,36%的荷兰人将自行车当作最频繁使用的出行方式 [5], 骑自行车在全国所有旅行中所占比例为 27%。 [6] 城市中的比例更高,阿姆斯特丹为38%,[7]兹沃勒为46%。[8] 自行车的高使用率来自于于优良的基础设施:自行车道、路口保护措施、自行车停放,路线规划。特别是优良的路线规划将村庄、城镇和城市连接起来,构成国家自行车网络,可及全国各角落。 [9]

普及过程 编辑

自行车在荷兰开始流行时间略落后于英美两国,但1890 年代,荷兰已经修筑自行车专用道。到 1911 年,荷兰人均自行车数为欧洲最高,1940 年代荷兰8百万人口中约有 4百万辆自行车。[10] 直到 1960 年,每个居民每年骑行距离达1500公里,但之后由于汽车的普及,骑行距离下降至 800 公里左右。 [11]

1970 年代,荷兰交通事故造成每年超过 5百名儿童丧生,[12]人们发起“Stop de Kindermoord”(停止谋杀儿童)运动 [13][14]。再接连上石油危机[15] ,以及自行车交通设计手册出版的影响,大幅扭转政府的交通政策,开始限制城市机动车辆的使用,自行车被定位为更安全、人性和宜居的交通工具。

利用大众运输 编辑

荷兰政策上鼓励自行车旅行,人们可以利用大众运输工具运自行车,以衔接自行车的行程。自行车骑士可将自行车带上火车,折叠自行车免费,但普通自行车需要特殊票,且要将自行车放在火车上的指定区域。在高峰时段禁止携带正常尺寸的自行车,但在 7 月和 8 月的夏季旅行不受限,自行车可以随时免费携带。[16] [17] 荷兰的渡轮普及穿越河流和运河,也服务自行车骑士将车带上渡轮,但多数要收取额外费用。[18] 自行车骑士也可以将自行车带上飞机,但必须遵循航空公司的规定以拆解并包装自行车,而且也要支付额外费用。

政策鼓励 编辑

荷兰 Fietsersbond(自行车运动员联盟)举办 Fietsstad (自行车城市)奖项,授予城市发展自行车运动的荣誉。评审并非以自行车整体环境为标准,而是选择自行车环境加强改善的努力。 [19] 有些年度,陪审团会使用独特主题以决定获胜者。

自行车旅游 编辑

自行车旅行有两套标志系统,荷兰国家自行车网络 (LF 路线) ,及编号节点自行车网络(knooppunten network)。在两系统之外,还有区域自行车道。LF-route网络部分线路延伸至比利时德国等邻国,LF1 甚至沿着北海沿岸,一直延伸到法国的境内。部分 LF 路线已在 2017-2021 年合并和移除,或是纳入 knooppunten 网络,成为比利时和荷兰贯连的指定长途路线。 [20][21]在网络系统基础上,自行车骑士通常可以15 至 18 公里的时速骑乘。

在荷兰,自行车地图随处可取得。一般路线图仅显示路线信息,通常用于假期出游,可在大多数旅游商店买到。另外有全国地图,覆盖整个国家全境,带有自行车道的标记和符号,包括 LF 路线和编号节点自行车网络,及其他区域自行车路线。这种地图适用在不熟悉的地域骑自行车,也用于越野骑乘。另外还有各种语言的综合数位地图和路线规划工具,可以电脑在线查询,或在下载应用软件以使用。 OpenStreetMap 是一种维基百科风格的地图,拥有关于编号节点网络的大量信息,可下载的地图和数据集供使用。[22][23] 荷兰的自行车旅游发达,有专业的自行车旅游产业,由专业的自行车旅游业者经营。 [24]
