许通美
许通美（英语：Tommy Koh Thong Bee，1937年11月12日—），新加坡国际法律师、教授、外交官，曾担任新加坡前常驻联合国代表。

早年生活及教育 编辑
许1937年11月12日出生于新加坡，父亲来自福建省厦门市同安区、母亲来自上海市。他毕业于实仁中学、莱佛士书院并且于马来亚大学新加坡分校（今天的新加坡国立大学）取得法学士（一级荣誉）学位。他也从哈佛法学院取得LL.M.，以及从剑桥大学取得犯罪学文凭。他在1977年取得正教授职位。他也获得了耶鲁大学以及蒙纳士大学的荣誉LL.D.学位，以及哥伦比亚大学、史丹佛大学、乔治城大学、弗莱彻法律与外交学院 （塔夫茨大学）以及科廷大学等各种荣誉。
职业生涯 编辑
他是一名国际法学律师、教授和外交官。他目前也担任新加坡政策研究所特别顾问、国家文物局主席、新国大国际法中心主席以及新加坡国立大学香灰莉木学院院长。他目前也在新加坡国立大学法学院停薪留职[1]。
他从1980年到1982年期间担任第三届联合国海洋法会议主席。
Lax and Sebenius present Koh and his efforts in getting the Convention passed, as an example of successful negotiating.[2] 1990 to 1992 he served as Chairman of the Main Committee of the UN Conference on Environment and Development, where he presided over the negotiations on Agenda 21. He has also served as Singapore's ambassador to the United Nations and the United States.
