2019年4月11日，迪士尼宣布《飞哥与小佛：凯蒂丝对抗宇宙》将在Disney+上映[4]，且除了托马斯·桑斯特外的所有配音演员均将回归[5][6][7]。
2020年3月27人，该片制作人丹·波文迈尔在推特上表示，经管迪士尼电视动画工作室因2019冠状病毒病疫情暂时关闭，但制作仍在进行[8]。
