麦克·欧文
迈克尔·J·欧文（英语：Michael J. Irwin）是一名英国天文学家。他是剑桥天文测量组的主任，也是鲸鱼座矮星系和人马座矮椭球星系的发现者之一[1][2][3][4][5]。

研究工作
编辑欧文因其在数位光学和红外线巡测资料处理方面所扮演的领导角色而闻名全球。目前，他在处理Vista Data Flow的数位光学与红外线测量资料方面所做的努力，正被用于处理英国红外线望远镜的资料[6]。
荣誉
编辑2012年，欧文被英国皇家天文学会授予赫歇尔奖章，以表彰其在观测天体物理学方面有杰出表现的研究[7]。他还透过撰写和协助撰写多本著作，在科学界做出了贡献[3]。
