English: Very young Monarch butterfly caterpillar on milkweed. Despite the filename, that is not an egg on the leaf; I had thought it was, but upon double-checking it, I was mistaken. It seems to be a very small spider or mite.

Taken with Canon Powershot A75, no zoom, f/4.5, 1/500s exposure, auto ISO. Cropped with the GIMP but otherwise unaltered.
