Firaxis Games是美国电子游戏开发公司，总部设于马里兰州斯帕克斯[1]。1996年，MicroProse的联合创始人席德·梅尔以及另外两位游戏设计师杰夫·布里格斯（英语：Jeff Briggs）和布莱恩·雷诺兹（英语：Brian Reynolds (game designer)）离职，后来三人共同成立Firaxis Software[2][3][4]。公司于1997年7月更名为Firaxis Games，当时它仍未开发任何游戏[2]。在接下来的九年，公司制作了七款适用于Windows平台的游戏，并透过多家发行商出版。这些游戏的官方名称均都带有前缀“席德·梅尔的”。公司在1997年经艺电发行战争游戏《北与南盖兹堡战役》，并在商业上取得极大成功。接着，公司又延续梅尔在MicroProse时负责的4X即时战略游戏系列，先后开发了三部文明系列作品，并视其为公司的旗舰游戏系列。2004年11月，Take-Two Interactive从当时的版权持有者英宝格手上购得该系列的发行权[5]。2005年11月，Take-Two Interactive在《文明IV》发售后收购了Firaxis Games。此后，公司便成为了游戏品牌2K Games的一部分，并透过它独家发行游戏[6]。

自2005年起，Firaxis Games开发了九款与文明系列相关的4X作品。其余六部作品包括两款幽浮（英语：XCOM）系列的回合制战略游戏、一款铁路业模拟经营游戏、两款适用于移动电话的战术游戏、一款同样适用于移动电话的即时战略游戏。布里格斯和雷诺兹相继离职，使梅尔成为唯一留在公司的创始人，他同时担任创意总监一职[7][8]。自公司成立以来，它已经制作了23款游戏，其中12款属于文明系列。公司的最新作是2020年发售的《幽浮：奇美拉战队》。
