G/O传媒成立于2019年4月，当时私募基金公司Great Hill Partners向Univision以18.9亿美元购入了Gizmodo媒体集团与洋葱报，[4][5]并整并为现在的G/O传媒。
收购与出售 编辑
2020年2月，ClickHole被出售给Cards Against Humanity。[6]
2023年3月，生活黑客被出售给Ziff Davis。[8]
2023年11月29日，Jezebel被出售给Paste。[9]该网站在11月9日停止更新，并解雇了所有员工，[10]并在12月29日重新发布。[11]
2024年3月11日，Deadspin被出售给了Lineup Publishing，后者随即解雇了前者的所有员工。[12]
2024年3月，The Takeout被出售给Static Media。[13]
