美國作家和製片人
罗伯特·劳伦斯·斯坦（Robert Lawrence Stine，1943年10月8日—)，[2] 常称R·L·斯坦（R. L. Stine）和约维亚·鲍勃·斯坦（Jovial Bob Stine），是一位犹太裔美国作家，被称为“儿童文学界的斯蒂芬·金”。[3] 他主要创作儿童恐怖小说，以写就畅销书《鸡皮疙瘩系列》出名，这部书共有32个语言版本，截止2014年约已出版3.5亿册。

他出生于俄亥俄州哥伦布，[4] 父母是犹太人路易斯·斯坦（Lewis Stine）、安妮（Anne；娘家姓Feinstein），分别是运务员和家庭主妇。斯坦在俄亥俄州的贝克斯利长大，[5][6][7] 9岁时开始写作。[8] 1965年在俄亥俄州立大学获英语文学学士学位，[9] 在校期间连续三年担任学校幽默杂志《The Sundial》的编辑。[2] 毕业后搬到纽约市开始作家生涯。[5]
职业生涯 编辑
他开始以约维亚·鲍勃·斯坦（Jovial Bob Stine）为笔名写了一些儿童幽默文学作品，并创办了幽默杂志《香蕉》（Bananas），1975年至1984年间出版了72期。[5] 1986年写成了第一部惊险小说《陌生约会》（Blind Date）。[10] 后来也曾为尼克国际儿童频道的节目《Eureeka's Castle》写剧本。[11] 1992年开始写作《鸡皮疙瘩》，并获得的了很大的成功。
私生活 编辑
1969年6月22日与简·沃德霍恩（Jane Waldhorn）结婚。他的妻子后来成了作家、编辑，[9] 1983年4月1日与琼·瓦理查德（Joan Waricha）一起创办了跳伞出版社（Parachute Press）。[12] 他们育有一子马修，1980年6月7日出生。[9][13]
