世嘉Forever是日本电子游戏商世嘉为iOS、Android等移动操作系统开发的在线服务，于2017年6月22日上线。世嘉Forever将世嘉过去在其电子游戏机平台上推出的经典游戏作品重新于移动设备平台上发行，未来也预计将服务扩展至其他平台上。

世嘉Forever服务旨在将世嘉过去在其电子游戏机平台上推出的经典游戏作品重新于iOS及Android等移动设备平台上发行[1]；尽管移动设备平台是世嘉Forever目前的服务主轴，不过世嘉也提到将服务扩展至个人电脑、任天堂的任天堂Switch、索尼的PlayStation 4及微软的Xbox One等其他平台上的可能性[2][3]。世嘉Forever服务采用网络游戏免费模式，游戏中会出现广告，而玩家可付费以移除广告[4][5]。服务提供的游戏有移植和模拟两类运作方式[4]。与任天堂利用手机游戏和应用程序吸引玩家入门其电子游戏机平台，世嘉除了藉服务推广自家的游戏以外，也会透过观察各游戏的热门程度决定旗下IP的走向[6]。世嘉Forever的最终目标是成为类似网飞的在线服务，不过服务提供的是世嘉自家的电子游戏[3]。

游戏阵容 编辑

世嘉Forever的游戏阵容大部来自于世嘉的电子游戏机平台，目前共有世嘉Genesis（在北美以外地区被称为Mega Drive）、世嘉CD（在北美以外地区被称为Mega-CD）及Dreamcast平台之作品，并预计纳入SG-1000、Master System（在北美以外地区被称为世嘉Mark III）、Game Gear及世嘉土星等平台[3][7]。世嘉一度考虑为服务加入《铁甲飞龙》等世嘉土星和Dreamcast游戏，不过在上市前的测试过程中遇到了模拟上的困难，使得世嘉必须以耗时较久的完全移植取代单纯的模拟版本而无法在第一时间推出[2][3]。世嘉也对将未曾在海外推出的作品（例如由中裕司开发的《Girl's Garden》等）翻译后加入世嘉Forever阵容一事保持着开放态度[6]。

世嘉为世嘉Forever服务中的游戏新增了一些机能，包括分数排行榜、云存储及触摸屏支持（同时也保留了传统控制器选项）等，同时支持离线游玩[6][8][9]。首发游戏共有五款，并将持续加入新游戏[10]。2018年3月，世嘉宣布将开始为世嘉Forever推出完全移植的作品，并持续推出模拟作品，不过新增速率将会减缓[11]。同时，世嘉也宣布服务中的游戏总计已经被下载超过4000万次[11]。

舆论对世嘉Forever的评价褒贬不一。负面评价主要集中在服务的模拟技术上，批评游戏运行时的帧率不甚稳定[33]。世嘉随后于2017年7月的一次更新修复了大多数的问题[34]。
