This is a list of diplomatic missions of East Timor. As the poorest country in Asia with a limited number of trained personnel, East Timor is only slowly beginning to develop its network of embassies abroad. East Timor established a mission in Maputo, Mozambique, which gave diplomatic support to East Timor's exiled independence leaders during Indonesian occupation. The only other country ever to open its first African embassy in Maputo was Iceland.
