冥王星之心是dwarf planet Pluto 一个显著的表面特征。^[1]^[2]^[3] 一个横跨大约1,590公里的巨大、浅色区域，^[4] 在NASA的媒体当中被昵称为冥王星的 "心" 。^[5]^[6]^[7]

该区域首次被发现是在New Horizons 探测器从异常进入的安全模式恢复后，由冥王星所传回来的初始影像。NASA最初依照其整体外型轮廓而称为"心"。^[8] 在7月15日，这个区域被NASA正式命名为"汤博区(Tombaugh Regio)"，以纪念冥王星的发现者-天文学家Clyde Tombaugh。^[1] 尽管如此，NASA仍旧会使用"心"来称呼这个区域。

稍后收集到的资料显示，"心"的两"叶"虽然共同有一个明亮的外观，但相邻的地质特性却截然不同。左叶的部分比右叶来得平滑，颜色也有些微不同。^[9] 在早先的猜想，左叶是被氮雪填满的巨大陨石坑，当中的亮点则是突出的山峰。^[10] 7月15日公开的照片显示了当中有3,500米高，由水冰形成的山脉。在"心"底部的深暗区域，似乎有可能是一个含有大量冰的撞击坑，而"水冰山脉"是碰撞的残余碎片，"汤博区"的平滑特征则是碰撞后安定的残余。

在新视野号所得到最初的相片中，平滑的表面缺乏撞击坑，显示该大撞击在冥王星的行星形成中是"近期"发生的。从这种巨大的撞击产生的热，可能是行星碰撞的交互作用中仍无法解释的能量储存。这样撞击的巨大力量可以解释一些冥王星表面所看到的地质特征，同时也有助于进一步解释其他目前尚未了解的地貌过程。

这个特征在新视野号穿越的六十年前已经被辨认为是一个亮点，虽然在当时仍不可能有足够的分辨率来确定它的形状。^[12]

一些人也认为这个特征看起来像是迪士尼当中与冥王星同名的角色-Disney character。
