人工智能军备竞赛
人工智能军备竞赛,是指两个或以上的国家,开发和部署致命自主武器系统(英语:lethal autonomous weapons systems)而进行的军备竞赛。自2010 年代中期以来,许多分析师注意到全球超级大国之间出现了这种军备竞赛,开发更强的军事级人工智能系统。[1][2] 。在中美地缘政治和军事紧张局势加剧情况下, 人工智能军备竞赛有时会被置于中美之间的人工智能冷战背景下。[3]
致命自主武器的系统,是指使用人工智能来识别和杀死人类目标,无需人工干预,往往被称为杀手机器人。开发人工智能军事武器之间的军备竞赛,则是“人工智能军备竞赛”。(英语:Killer robot)。[4]不过,从广义上讲,任何对高阶人工智能的竞争,有时都被视为“人工智能军备竞赛”。[5][6]
