十字架四
十字架四 (δ Cru) 是拱极星座南十字座内的一颗恒星，在波多黎各语中这颗恒星的名字是Pálida (Pale [one])[12]。这颗星的视星等是2.79，距离地球大约345光年（106秒差距），是被称为南十字星群的四颗星中最暗的一颗。十字架四是颗质量大、温度高、高速旋转并在发展成为一颗巨星的过程中。

性质 编辑
这颗恒星的光谱类型是B2 IV[3]，在恒星演化的过程中正在从主序星进入次巨星的阶段。它即将要成为红巨星，而有朝一日将成为白矮星。目前，它在大气层外围的有效温度是22,570k，辐射的发光度大约是太阳的1,000倍[6]，导致它发射出蓝白色的光[13]。十字架四是备受关注的仙王座β型变星候选者[5]，以1.3小时的周期细微的变化著[来源请求]。它自转的非常快，估计旋转速度是210 km s–1.[10]。
十字架四是天蝎-半人马星协的低半人马南十字 (LCC，Lower Centaurus Crux) 次级团的成员，这是一个大质量恒星组成的OB星协，有着共同的起源和空间速度[6]。这是最靠近太阳的OB星协，LCC的成员年龄都在1,600万至2,000万岁之间[14]。

在中国，十字架四是近南极星区星官十字架，意为四颗星组成的十字架[15]，的成员。这个星官的主要成员还有十字架一 (γ Cru)、十字架二 (α Cru)、和十字架三 (β Cru) [16]
居住在澳洲中部Hermannsburg周围的阿兰达人和Luritja人部落称十字架四为Iritjinga，意思是"猛鹰"，加上十字架一、库楼七 (半人马座γ)、马尾三 (半人马座δ) 组成一个四边形[17]。
十字架四也出现在澳洲、新西兰和巴布亚新几内亚等国家的国旗上，在这些国旗上都有象征南十字座的五颗星。它也出现在巴西国旗上，是26颗星中的一颗。这26颗星每一颗代表巴西的一个州，十字架四代表的是米纳斯吉拉斯[18]。
