戴维·M·格兰茨

戴维·M·格兰茨 （英语：David M. Glantz，1942年1月11日—）是一位美国军事历史学家、退役陆军上校，以研究第二次世界大战苏德战争（东线）与苏联红军而闻名，他同时也是军事期刊《斯拉夫军事史研究杂志（英语：The Journal of Slavic Military Studies）》的总编辑[1]。

格兰茨出生于美国纽约州契斯特港（英语：Port Chester），毕业于维吉尼亚军事学院、北卡罗来纳大学教堂山分校、美国陆军指挥参谋学院以及国防语言学院，于1965年以少尉军官身份进入美国陆军野战炮兵服役，并被布署于越南战争中越南平隆省美国陆军第2军（英语：II Corps (United States)）的“火力支援与协调单元（英语：Fire support coordination element）”。1969年，格兰茨返回美国，于陆军指挥参谋学院教授战争史。1973年7月1日，美军于陆军训练与条令司令部下开设“战斗研究中心”（Combat Studies Institute），格兰茨参与该中心的苏军研究项目。1977年至1979年，他再出任美国驻欧陆军司令部情报参谋办公室主任。1979年当上了陆军战斗研究首席研究员，1983年又再担任美国陆军战争学院（英语：United States Army War College）“陆战中心苏联军作战研究处”（Office of Soviet Army Operations at the Center for Land Warfare）处长。1986年，格兰茨负责组建和领导“外国军事研究办公室（英语：Foreign Military Studies Office）”。1993年，于军中服役超过三十年、年逾50的格兰茨以陆军上校军衔退役。1998年，格兰茨与乔纳森·M·豪斯（英语：Jonathan House）共同出版了《巨人的碰撞》[2]。

2000年，美国“军事史学会（英语：Society for Military History）”颁授格兰茨“塞缪尔·埃利奥特·莫里森奖”（Samuel Eliot Morison Prize）[3]。2015年，格兰茨被俄罗斯联邦国防部长谢尔盖·绍伊古大将授予“加强军事合作奖章（俄语：Медаль «За укрепление боевого содружества» (Министерство обороны России)）”。
