尾宿增二是一颗蓝白色B型亚巨星,恒星分类为B2 IV[3] 。跟据天文学家估计,它的半径是太阳的7倍,质量几乎是太阳的9倍[6],光度是太阳的2,385倍[8]。外层大气的有效温度为23,113 K[7]。它大约有1,850万年的历史,并以58公里/秒的速度自转[9]
