狮子山君主

英国女王伊丽莎白二世于1961年至1971年担任狮子山君主，当时狮子山是独立的君主立宪制国家。伊丽莎白二世也是其他英联邦王国的君主，包括英国。她对狮子山的宪法职责委托予狮子山总督。

狮子山根据1961年《狮子山独立法令》成为一个独立国家，该法令将狮子山从英国的直辖殖民地转变为英联邦的成员国。[1]英国女王伊丽莎白二世成为狮子山国家元首和女王，并由狮子山总督代表其行使职权。[2]

肯特公爵爱德华王子代表女王出席狮子山的独立庆典。欧国伟爵士夫人雅丽珊郡主代表女王出席狮子山独立日时在伦敦举行的仪式。[3] 4月26日，肯特公爵爱德华王子在狮子山首都弗里敦为狮子山的新议会大厦揭幕。狮子山于4月26日至27日间的午夜获得独立，当天稍晚，肯特公爵爱德华王子参加了狮子山议会开幕式，[4][5]随后，狮子山总督莫里斯·多尔曼爵士（Sir Maurice Dorman）在首席大法官贝奥库·贝茨（Beoku Betts）的主持下，作为伊丽莎白女王的代表宣誓就任狮子山总督。[6]

自1961年《狮子山独立法令》生效以来，任何的英国政府官员皆不能就与狮子山有关的任何事务向伊丽莎白女王提出建议，这意味着关于狮子山的所有事务上，伊丽莎白女王只能听从狮子山王室部长所提供的建议。所有关于狮子山的法案都需要英国王室同意。狮子山君主在该国的代表是狮子山总督，总督是由君主根据狮子山总理的建议所任命的。[2][7]

狮子山君主和狮子山众议院组成了狮子山议会，[8][9]狮子山的所有行政权力均属于狮子山君主。[10]狮子山的所有法律都是在狮子山总督代表狮子山君主在获得英国王室同意的情况下颁布的。[2] 总督还负责召集议会、休会和解散议会。[11]总督有权选择和任命狮子山的部长，并可视情况解散狮子山的部长会议。所有狮子山的王室部长均按总督的意愿任职。[12]
