英属洪都拉斯
历史殖民地
英属洪都拉斯（英语：British Honduras）在1862年至1964年间英国的一个直辖殖民地，位于中美洲东岸，墨西哥以南，之后成为自治殖民地，1973年6月改名伯利兹[3]，直至1981年9月完全独立为止。英属洪都拉斯是英国在美洲最后的一个大陆占领地。

该殖民地来自英国和西班牙之间的凡尔赛条约而起，并允许英国在翁多河和伯利兹河之间的伐木权。1786年伦敦会议将这个权利扩大至伯利兹河至西本河[4]。1862年，洪都拉斯湾的伯利兹定居点被宣布为英属洪都拉斯，英国国王的代表升格为副总督，下属于牙买加总督[5]。
