迈克尔划船去彼岸

《迈克尔划船去彼岸》(英语:“Michael,Row the Boat Ashore”)是一首美国英语民谣歌曲,最初的形式是一首黑人灵歌,于南北战争时由南卡罗来纳州圣赫勒拿岛英语Saint Helena Island (South Carolina)的奴隶传唱[1][2]。现代最为人所知的版本于1954年由波士顿民谣歌手和教师托尼·萨勒坦英语Tony Saletan改编。最广为人知的歌唱版本于1960年由公路狂徒乐团英语The Highwaymen (folk band)推出,并在1961年登上全美排行榜冠军宝座[3]

根据美国学者威廉·弗朗西斯·艾伦英语William Francis Allen的说法,歌词中Michael实际上指的是大天使米迦勒[4],在天主教信仰中是接送亡者灵魂上天堂的天使。
