7月1日：香港现行第十届政府的“一国两制”将到期。根据香港基本法第一章第五条规定：“香港特别行政区不实行社会主义制度和政策，保持原有的资本主义制度和生活方式50年不变”。当《基本法》在1997年7月1日通过，经过50年不变后将在2047年6月30日的时间结束。该协议是邓小平曾在处理香港回归时提出的，并在1984年的《中英联合声明》中定明，然而没有任何文件说明50年后将会怎样安排。^[6]

2049年编辑

10月1日：中华人民共和国成立100周年，“两个一百年”当中第二个一百年目标的预计实现时间。^[7]同时当日也是“一带一路”倡议的预计完成日子。^[8]

12月20日：根据《澳门基本法》和《中葡联合声明》，自1999年12月20日起开始为期50年的澳门“一国两制”将到期。^[9]
