This template generates an external link to the French Aeronautical Information Publication (AIP) for a specific airport. These links change every 28 days and the template calculates the correct URL based on the current date.

1. (unnamed) – airport's ICAO location indicator, i.e. LFMN
2. name (optional) – airport's location, i.e. NICE CÔTE D'AZUR (location and bold print are as shown in the AIP). Most airports show two locations: the first is the city served, second is the city where the airport is located.

Short version (used in airport lists):

• Usage: {{AIP_FR|LFMN}}
• Result: LFMN

Long version (used in airport articles):

• Usage: {{AIP_FR|LFMN|name='''NICE''' CÔTE D'AZUR}}

2. (unnamed) – AIP directory
   • CAR-SAM-NAM – 法属安的列斯群岛（瓜德罗普、马提尼克），法属圭亚那，圣皮埃尔和密克隆
   • PAC-P – 法属波利尼西亚
   • PAC-N – 新喀里多尼亚，瓦利斯和富图纳
   • RUN – 留尼汪，马约特

Technical information

The AIP is updated on a 28天的周期 as per the ICAO. For the online version of the French AIPs this causes a change in the URL involving the AIRAC effective date formatted as YYYY-MM-DD. This template uses the current date (presently 2024年12月29日) to calculate the effective date. The following is a list for the current and upcoming AIRAC cycles:

• 2024-12-26 — 2024年12月26日生效 (AIRAC cycle 2501)
• 2025-01-23 — 2025年1月23日生效 (AIRAC cycle 2502)
• 2025-02-20 — 2025年2月20日生效 (AIRAC cycle 2503)
• 2025-03-20 — 2025年3月20日生效 (AIRAC cycle 2504)
• 2025-04-17 — 2025年4月17日生效 (AIRAC cycle 2505)
• 2025-05-15 — 2025年5月15日生效 (AIRAC cycle 2506)
• 2025-06-12 — 2025年6月12日生效 (AIRAC cycle 2507)
• 2025-07-10 — 2025年7月10日生效 (AIRAC cycle 2508)
• 2025-08-07 — 2025年8月7日生效 (AIRAC cycle 2509)
• 2025-09-04 — 2025年9月4日生效 (AIRAC cycle 2510)
• 2025-10-02 — 2025年10月2日生效 (AIRAC cycle 2511)
• 2025-10-30 — 2025年10月30日生效 (AIRAC cycle 2512)
• 2025-11-27 — 2025年11月27日生效 (AIRAC cycle 2513)

If this template stops working, the most likely reason is that the URL format has changed. To find the current format, go to the Aeronautical Information Publications page of the Service d'information aéronautique (SIA) website and view the AIP for an airport.

• The current format for airports in France is https://www.sia.aviation-civile.gouv.fr/dvd/eAIP_26_DEC_2024/FRANCE/AIRAC-2024-12-26/html/eAIP/FR-AD-2.LFMN-fr-FR.html, where 2024-12-26 is the current effective date and LFMN is the airport's ICAO location indicator.

• The current format for airports in French overseas territories is https://www.sia.aviation-civile.gouv.fr/dvd/eAIP_26_DEC_2024/PAC-P/AIRAC-2024-12-26/html/eAIP/FR-AD-2.NTAA-fr-FR.html, where 2024-12-26 is the current effective date, NTAA is the airport's ICAO location indicator and PAC-P is used for airports in French Polynesia. Other possibilities here are CAR-SAM-NAM for French Antilles (Guadeloupe, Martinique), French Guiana, or Saint-Pierre and Miquelon; PAC-N for New Caledonia or Wallis and Futuna; RUN for Réunion or Mayotte.
