Viola Beach

Viola Beach在2013年中成立，创始成员为克里斯‧伦纳德（吉他手及主唱）、弗朗基‧库尔森（Frankie Coulson，吉他手）、乔尼‧吉布森（Jonny Gibson，男低音）和杰克‧戴金（鼓手）[6]。在2015年5月，乐队进行最后一次重组，原成员克里斯‧伦纳德和杰克‧戴金加上新成员里弗‧里夫斯（吉他手）、汤马士·洛（男低音）而成[7][8]，在利物浦洞穴俱乐部首次亮相[9]。他们首支单曲"Swings and Waterslides" 在2015年9月被BBC广播一台加入播放列表[10]。

乐队受到BBC Introducing的提拔，曾在里丁与里兹音乐节的BBC Introducing舞台上演出[7][11]。他们第二首单曲是"Boys That Sing"/"Like a Fool"，于2016年2月22日亮相[12]。

2016年2月13日，四名乐队成员连同经理人在瑞典的E4高速公路的南泰利耶运河直升桥路段遇上车祸，五人全数罹难[2][3][4]。目击者表示当时桥正上升让船通过，然而事故车轮却直冲飞坠河里[13]。乐队在事发前一天参加了北雪平的Where's the Music?音乐节[1]，原定下个演出为3月在美国奥斯汀的西南偏南音乐节[14][15]。

在英国出现了一些纪念活动，2月14日英格兰足球超级联赛曼城对热刺的赛事，球迷鼓掌以对曼城球迷的经理人克雷格‧塔里（Craig Tarry）的致意[16] 。乐队粉丝发起社交媒体战役，试图把"Swings & Waterslides"推上英国单曲排行榜首位[17]。

乐队成员遇难消息发布后，唱片公司宣布先前所有单曲收入会捐赠给成员及经理人的家属[12]。
