About me

Librarian, anthropologist, illustrator and photographer. I have worked for BAnQ for more than 10 years. I have held many positions including the Librarian Coordinator of Le Square, a digital creation space dedicated to teenage users in the Grande Bibliothèque (Montréal). I also worked to imagine and prepare what could have been the Bibliothèque Saint-Sulpice.

My work

I worked in a cinema for 5 years, holding a number of positions, which was a rewarding experience. At Laval University (Quebec), I was a research and teaching assistant for Jean-Jacques Chalifoux and Bernard Arcand, also helping to redesign Bernard Saladin d'Anglure's Orient-Occident course. After a very brief experience in television production, I joined BAnQ (national library). For 10 years, I held various positions, including librarian-coordinator, focusing on innovation, information sharing, the circulation of knowledge and user autonomy. Since 2017, I have been working for the Direction des bibliothèques de Montréal as a consultant specialising in library renovation, expansion and construction.

Although I am not paid to do so, I contribute to documenting subjects directly related to my job. I try to remain neutral, but I prefer to say so for the sake of transparency.

I live in Montréal, Québec.

I like contributing on Wikimedia Commons. I have been doing photography since I was 13 years old and I am equipped with many cameras. My main camera is a Canon R8 combines some lenses including the classic 50mm, 17-40mm and 70-200mm. A Wikimedia Commons project that is particularly important to me is the Red Carpet project.
