About Me
As a fervent advocate for open and free knowledge, I am dedicated to bringing expert information to the forefront for the benefit of the public. My journey within the Free & Open Knowledge community, both as a volunteer and in professional roles, has been focused on connecting expert communities with a broad network of volunteers. Together, we collaborate on projects like Wikipedia, Kiwix, OpenStreetMap, GitHub, and Wikimedia Commons, with the belief that transforming these interactions is crucial for creating a public knowledge commons capable of addressing global issues such as human rights, education, and climate change.
My goal is to catalyze a shift in perspective that allows us to develop meaningful solutions. As an innovator and multi-modal thinker, I tackle a wide range of challenges in service of our mission, ensuring that vital information reaches the right public audience effectively.
Beyond my passion for open knowledge and my background in the humanities and teaching, I have a deep love for podcasting. I see it as a powerful tool for sharing information, amplifying voices, and fostering understanding among diverse audiences.
In my role as a leader within the Wikimedia Community User Group South Sudan, Open Knowledge South Sudan, and the OpenStreetMap community, I guide and inspire others to contribute their expertise and dedication to our shared cause. My mission remains steadfast: to empower people, harness the power of information, and drive positive change.
