The unofficial names of "Warthog" and "Turkey" come from reliable, verifiable sources (Fairchild and Grumman), just like the unofficial name of "Stealth Valkyrie" comes from a reliable source (This is Animation Special: Macross Plus ). However, some of the data in this article does not come from reliable, verifiable sources. MAHQ and the Macross Compendium are reliable, verifiable sources. "YVF-1A" was used for the VF-1A's prototype, but "YVF-" was not used for the VF-14, VF-19, and VF-19. If the official source say "YVF." then Wikipedia should use it. If not, Wikipedia should not use it. Just like in real life, YF-14A was used for F-14's prototype, but X-35 was used for F-35's prototype. Even the real-life US Armed Forces does not follow United States Tri-Service aircraft designation system exactly. Egan Loo 2007年7月10日 (二) 06:43 (UTC)

Studio Nue is keeping this a secret, possibly for the future. The unnamed fighter in Macross Plus Movie Edition may be the VF-14, it may be the VA-14, or it may be something else. Until Studio Nue says what it is, we can't call it VF-14 officially. Egan Loo 2007年7月10日 (二) 06:43 (UTC)
