機修工

機修工是指使用工具維護或修理機器的工匠、熟練技工或技術員^[1]。大多數機修工基本只擅長某一領域的機器^[2]。機修工資質通常由行業協會或政府機構認證。機械師可根據其維修的機器類型分為兩類，即重型機修工和輕型機修工。重型機修工主要維修大型機器或重型設備，如拖拉機和拖車，而輕型機修工主要維修較小的機器，如汽車發動機。
