亞歷山大·喬治·芬德利

亞歷山大·喬治·芬德利（英語：Alexander George Findlay，1812–1875）英國水文地理學家。1812年，出生在英國倫敦。祖父是一個船東，在泰晤士河有經營活動。父親亞歷山大·芬德利是早期的皇家地理學會會員。

亞歷山大·喬治·芬德利畢生從事地理和水文著作的編輯，頁數超過1萬頁。發行了6大本在航海業影響深遠的航海指南，涵蓋北大西洋，南大西洋，印度洋，印度群島-中國海-日本海，南太平洋，以及北太平洋。其著作包括：

• 《印度群島，中國，日本航行指南，從馬六甲和巽他海峽，東爪哇水道，到廣州，上海，黃海，日本。並有風，季風，洋流以及各種水道碼頭等概要介紹》。（A Directory for the Navigation of the Indian Archipelago, China, and Japan, From the Straits of Malacca and Sunda, and the passages east of Java. to Canton, Shanghai, the Yellow Sea, and Japan with descriptions of the winds, monsoons, and currents, and general instructions for the various channels, harbours, etc.）倫敦，1878年，第二版。

• 《太平洋航行指南，沿岸和島嶼等介紹》。（A Directory for the Navigation of the Pacific Ocean: With Description of Its Coasts, Islands, Etc. from the Strait of Magalhaens to the Arctic Sea）倫敦，1851年。

1844年，當選為英國皇家地理學會會員。對於氣象學也有研究。1858年，位於倫敦的Laurie & Whittle出版社老闆理查德·霍蘭·勞里（Richard Holland Laurie），亞歷山大·喬治·芬德利接管了其出版事業。1875年，亞歷山大·喬治·芬德利在英國肯特郡多佛爾去世。

其身後，1885年，位於阿姆斯特丹的范克倫出版社宣告破產，此後，Laurie & Whittle出版社成為出版海圖和航海文獻的具有最悠久歷史的歐洲企業。
