布萊恩·芬尼豪赫

英国作曲家

布萊恩·約翰·彼得·芬尼豪赫(英語:Brian John Peter Ferneyhough,1943年1月16日),又譯芬尼豪費尼霍夫費尼豪英國作曲家。1943年出生於考文垂,曾在伯明翰音樂學校接受音樂教育,後又到英國皇家音樂學院師從倫諾克斯·伯克利英語Lennox Berkley,1960年代末移居歐洲大陸,又曾師從克勞斯·胡貝爾英語Klaus Huber。1987年至1999年在聖迭戈加利福尼亞大學任教,此外還在史丹福大學哈佛大學等多處教學。[1]

芬尼豪赫被認為是「新複雜主義」音樂的代表人物。他的作品往往以樂譜極端複雜著稱,並經常使用複雜的連音節奏。[2]在他的作品中,室內樂佔有重要位置,其中包括了眾多的弦樂四重奏樂曲。他的代表作還有聲樂套曲《超技練習曲》、鋼琴曲《定理-記號-警句》、管樂六重奏《普羅米修斯》、獨奏單簧管與演奏組的《伊卡洛斯的墜落》、管弦樂《火周期β》等。[3]
