第一代貝德福德伯爵約翰·羅素

約翰·羅素，第一代貝德福德伯爵（英語：John Russell, 1st Earl of Bedford；約1485年—1554年或1555年3月14日），是英格蘭國王亨利八世的寵臣。羅素家族財富和顯赫地位的創始人。

1520年隨亨利八世參加金縷地會談。英法戰爭重開後，他回到軍隊，1522年在莫爾萊包圍戰中失去右眼。1523年秘密赴法，談判亨利與欲背叛法王弗朗索瓦一世的波旁公爵查理之間的條約。1524年前往羅馬訪問教皇克雷芒七世.1525年2月參加帕維亞戰役，約年第回英格蘭。1529年進入宗教改革議會，但仍受到亨利八世的重寵信，歷任要職。1539年受封為男爵。1545年在英格蘭西部指揮軍隊。1547年1月亨利八世死後，他是其遺囑的執行人之一。在愛德華六世時代任皇室事務總管和掌璽大臣。1549年參與鎮壓公禱書叛亂。1550年被封為貝德福德伯爵，同年任與法國媾和的專使。他支持瑪麗一世，1554年前往西班牙締結瑪麗一世與腓力二世的婚約。
