Overleaf

Overleaf是一個雲端協作式LaTeX編輯器，可用於編寫和發佈論文。[1][2]這一編輯器與很多科學雜誌出版商有合作關係，不但提供官方期刊的LaTeX模板，還能直接將文件提交至這些出版社。[3][4][5]Overleaf由2011年兩名數學家John Hammersley和John Lees-Miller共同建立的公司WriteLaTeX Limited開發[6]，他們憑藉自己在學術界的經驗開發了這一平台，因此Overleaf比其他LaTex編輯器更具優勢。2014年1月16日，大英圖書館舉辦第一次#FuturePub活動，首次展示了Overleaf的測試版。[7][8][9][10][11][12][13][14][15]2017年，WriteLaTeX與ShareLaTeX合併為Overleaf v2，將兩者的功能整合到同一個雲端平台中。[16]

歷史

Overleaf曾參加2013年夏季Bethnal Green Ventures (BGV)加速器計劃。[17][18][19][20][21][22][23]2014年，該公司獲得了Digital Science的戰略投資[24][25][26][27]，隨後斬獲了Nominet互聯網大獎中的創新互聯網業務獎[28]。2018年，該公司在SyndicateRoom提供的英國年度增速最快企業百強榜單中排名第99。[29]

Overleaf在撰寫《自然》[30]、《科學》[31]、opensource.com[32]與德國信息技術雜誌Heise Online等科學出版物方面知名度激增。[33]2017年起，歐洲粒子物理實驗室開始採用Overleaf作為其首選的協作創作平台。[30]

Overleaf提供了一部分科學期刊和會議的模板，其中，IEEE[34]和Springer[35]（包括《自然》[36]) 都已經可以直接通過Overleaf提交。

與ShareLaTeX合併

2017年7月20日，Overleaf收購ShareLaTeX，並創建了一個擁有超200萬用戶的綜合社區[37][38][16]；兩者的功能合併至overleaf.com這一網站，Overleaf v2順勢誕生。[16]

2021年5月，Lees-Miller、Paulo Reis和Sven Laqua在ACM CHI2021大會上憑藉以Overleaf和ShareLaTeX的合併為例、關於以用戶為核心的SaaS產品合併的案例研究斬獲了SIGCHI最佳案例分析獎。[39][40]
