托尼·韦斯特
德里克·安东尼·韦斯特（英语：Derek Anthony West，1965年8月12日—）是一位美国律师、前政府官员，现任Uber高级副总裁兼首席法务官。[1][2]在加入Uber之前，韦斯特曾担任美国副司法部长[3]以及百事可乐公司的总法律顾问。[4]他还曾任美国司法部民事部门助理总检察长，负责监督该部门的诉讼工作。[5]
在司法部任职期间，韦斯特在政府决定停止捍卫《捍卫婚姻法案》(DOMA) 的过程中发挥了关键作用，因他认为该法律违宪。[6]他还参与了司法部从大型金融机构追回370亿美元的工作，[7]并在2013年重新授权的《暴力侵害妇女法》(VAWA) 中，推动包含改善印第安人公共安全的部落条款。[8][9][10] 2014年8月21日，韦斯特宣布与美国银行达成166.5亿美元的和解协议，以解决联邦和州政府对美国银行及其子公司的索赔。[11][12]
个人生活
编辑1998年7月，韦斯特与贺锦丽的妹妹马娅·哈里斯结婚，成为她女儿米娜·哈里斯的继父。在此之前，玛雅是米娜的单亲母亲。[13][14]韦斯特与玛雅·哈里斯均为1992年斯坦福大学法学院的毕业生。[15]两人在学期间结为好友，但直到毕业后才开始交往。[16]
