拜占庭服饰

拜占庭皇帝的服饰在帝国千年的历史中发生很大变化。“将几何形状的布裹在身上”这一古典传统仍存续了相当长时间。拜占庭人偏好色彩和图案，刺绣技术发达，他们制作并出口图案多样的服饰，尤以拜占庭丝绸著称。帝国宫廷中层和上层对时尚十分热衷。达尔马提亚长袍是这一时期的典型装束。但对贫民来说，服饰非常昂贵。他们很可能长期穿着同一件破旧的衣服[1]。
