I dont live in Beijing , but in Taipei. So I dont know if any prog-cdshop there.

Here in Taipei , cd-shop also sells popular music , it is not easy to find something prog like Magma , King Crimson but nowdays people can buy cds on web . So I could buy a lot of music which I have found a long time before.

Last year I visited HogKong , wow that`s really a shoppers paradise , tens of thousands CDs , not expensive and got a huge variety. I think there is the best place to buy prog-music in Asia except Japan (too expensive)

I have never been to south korea . do Progmusic in SK popular ? In Taiwan just almost no one listens to . Btw , my favorite band is Yes. Nice to meet you

Progmusic in Taiwan is just like Korea , not too many fans. there is a bbs prog-fan site , I think about 200 people talking about Magma , King Crimson or some bands and music which not known by many people. As to Pink Floyd , Genesis or Jethro Tull is much more popular , however still just a small part of musiclovers.

As to Taiwanese Band in recent years , almost play in hardcore , punk , post-rock , rarely Metal , never prog-music ! Wow PFM is my love band!! but I think they never have chance to come to Taiwan , because no commercial profits , no good musichall , etc. Fans like me are so sad about this situation:( Anyway , you must go to that gig :)

Of course I could recommend a Taiwanese rock-singer in 80s , named Lotayu. His music is very unique , combining traditional lyrics and rhythms with some western elements. He is the most important man in Taiwan`s Rock in my opinion. I am very glad to know what Korean Music you recommand !
